[rdm4mdr] WG: GAMM Fachausschuss RSE &RDM kick-off

Dear RDM Community,

The GAMM Activity Group on Research Software Engineering and Research Data Management in Mathematics & Mechanics will have a kick-off meeting in Braunschweig this December. Research software engineering is becoming more and more relevant now following the fuzz about RDM. Good science also needs good and reliable software. Taking care of this one faces different kind of challenges. This meeting might be a good opportunity to learn more about the realaionship and interplay of RSE and RDM.

The GAMM Activity Group on Research Software Engineering and Research Data Management in Mathematics & Mechanics
(https://gamm-ag-rse-rdm.github.io/) will formally start with a lunch-to-lunch kickoff meeting on Dec 4-5, 2025, at Technical University of Braunschweig. If you are interested in mathematics, mechanics, RSE, RDM, and/or any mixture of those, the activity group and this kickoff meeting is a great place to exchange thoughts!

We will have two great keynote lectures at the interface of RSE & RDM and CSE given by Philipp Birken (University of Lund) and Jörg F. Unger (Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung).
