Dear RDM community,
Especially those of you who provide support to researchers often advice, that data publications need persistent identifies (PIDs). The same is true for scientists (and RDM staff) that they have an identifier that is uniquely identifying a person independent of the current institution. In this context, one often asks “who of you has an ORCID ID?”. We ourself need to be a good example and obtain an ORCID ID (if we do not have one already), but also need to ensure, that we communicate to researchers how important it is, to have one: https://orcid.org/register
Cheers

Liebe Kolleg:innen,
Paloma
