Peter and all,
Mike was also a member of the W3C Web Ontology Working Group that developed OWL, 2002-2004. See: http://www.w3.org/TR/owl-ref/. He was also the co-editor of the OWL Web Ontology Language
Reference: http://www.w3.org/TR/owl-ref/.
It would be useful to update his namesake page with this too.
Thanks,
Leo

Peter,
What that list only hints at is the combination of technical ability, leadership, and dedication that Mike brought to the projects he led, and the patience, tolerance, and personal warmth that he contributed to their success . Mike was a hero of the AI community; he got talented and difficult people to work together to realize great ideas. As others have said, he will be missed by many of us, personally and professionally, and he will be long remembered.
