From peter.yim at cim3.com Thu Aug 27 01:44:27 2015 From: peter.yim at cim3.com (Peter Yim) Date: Wed, 26 Aug 2015 16:44:27 -0700 Subject: [oor-dev] COLORE url In-Reply-To: References: <55D4E7A1.5080504@mie.utoronto.ca> Message-ID: Michael & All Stewards of OOR instances, Further to my last message (about the OOR.NET index page website being down) I wanted to let you know that, (i) I have temporarily resumed the functioning (albeit, less effective) of the indexing/pointer capability of the OOR index page at: http://oor.net or http://www.oor.net (ii) as you can see, the translation of the various oor-host links are not operational now, but each of the OOR instances is being provided with a proper link, so users can easily navigate to the Ontology Repository they desire ... e.g. against COLORE, I still have the canonical link shown, but rendered inactive, and it is followed by the link to https://github.com/gruninger/colore/blob/master/ontologies/ as MichaelGruninger wants it now. (iii) I will activate the canonical OOR links (like , , , etc.) as soon as the server which provides the link translation and mapping (apache mod_proxy service) is restored [which might still take a bit more time.] Let me know if you have any question. [... by the way, since there has been some DNS modifications done yesterday and today to enable the above, some of you may not see all the pages working properly until the new dns records have had a chance to fully propagate (~2 days, I suppose.)] Regards. =ppy -- On Wed, Aug 19, 2015 at 2:01 PM, Peter Yim wrote: > Hi Michael, > > That should not be a problem (nominally, it should only take me an hour or > so to get it done.) > > Unfortunately, our server (the virtual machine) which has > been providing the translation of the links has come down recently (due to a > hardware failure on the virtual machine host to which the oor-01 vm is a > client.) ... I have also temporarily updated the link at the top* menu bar (that points people to the various OOR instances), at: - http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OpenOntologyRepository , and - http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?OpenOntologyRepository (more appropriately, right under: http://ontolog-02.cim3.net/wiki/OpenOntologyRepository#Open_Ontology_Repository_.28OOR.29_Initiative_-_Home_Page ) [ *I left the links at menu bar on the bottom of the page unchanged. That way, we can quickly revert to them when everything is working again. ] Regards. =ppy -- ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Peter Yim Date: Wed, Aug 26, 2015 at 4:44 PM Subject: Re: COLORE url To: Michael Gruninger , OpenOntologyRepository-development Cc: "[cwe-imp]" Michael & All Stewards of OOR instances, Further to my last message (about the OOR.NET index page website being down) I wanted to let you know that, (i) I have temporarily resumed the functioning (albeit, less effective) of the indexing/pointer capability of the OOR index page at: http://oor.net or http://www.oor.net (ii) as you can see, the translation of the various oor-host links are not operational now, but each of the OOR instances is being provided with a proper link, so users can easily navigate to the Ontology Repository they desire ... e.g. against COLORE, I still have the canonical link shown, but rendered inactive, and it is followed by the link to https://github.com/gruninger/colore/blob/master/ontologies/ as MichaelGruninger wants it now.
