[iaoa-infrastructure] first meeting minutes

These are not proper minutes. only my own notes rearranged afterwards
and without time marks.

- I'm bad at capuring what is being said
- I didn't start soaphub so we used the chat in zoom and this chat was
lost when the session ended :-(

anyway, here they are.
obviously anyone is invited to add what I have missed/misinterpreted

1-gathering issues

A- finalizing the new web site made by the Brazilian company

	A.1
issues raised by Amanda in testing the web site cf. [1]

[I realise I'm
not able to access the message archives and so cannot
just add a link to
the mssg, and most probably this is the case of
several of us, as well
for the Google doc created by Amanda. to be fixed]

	A.2 login/pwd
access management to member's area

	A.3 modification of scripts
handling registration and payments
		- connexion between new web site
and scripts
		- connexion with the new bank systems
		- testing the
whole thing

B- possible enhancements to what was planned and built, in
particular in
view of what Ken has set up cf. [2]


C- moving from
LOA-UNITN hosting to commercial hosting

	C1 listing and assessing
possible hosting sites
		Godaddy
		Aruba

	C2 choosing one and
ordering/paying

	C3 moving the site and testing the whole thing

Add Issue: who will do website maintance
2 sorts : technical / contents
long term: mostly content administrator

Ken willing to do the technical administrator

Content administrator to be discussed with whole EC

Add: access to IOS Press
"referer" method
otherwise : WordPress login

(security issues with the current referer method)

NB: the referer page is a static page NOT within the WordPress structure

Decision: keep referer solution (working, easy to maintain)

Valter: find a possible solution to import iaoa username/passwords
inside wordpress.

It seems that the new website has already a correct access to the
member's area ( referer system, using Valter's scripts, outside WordPress)

Valter will check if the member access needs fixing

Valter needs to modify his scripts because based on Apache-security, to
move to WordPress-security
Ken: it shouldn't be a problem

--issue C
(lost chat: getting out of current host, UNITN, need to split anyway the
server shared with LOA for technical reasons)

Ken's suggestion for hosting: Digital Ocean
Laure & Valter's suggestion: Aruba

Valter: We need 2 websites 1 normal and 1 secure

Ken presents the features of the new proposal, to be decided to
integrate them in the new website
Many nice features very easy to implement
Integrating other blogs (eg Ontolog forum, SIG blogs)
Adding pictures of people


Calendar : hopefully we can establish the connexion with the bank
account (issue A3) in February (?)
but waiting first for the bank account to open

Next meeting:
Focus on A1 + B
need to have Amanda (and possibly JaoPaolo) in the meeting.
Try next week same time but Amanda is a must, so any time good for her

Some of the decisions regarding content structure should be brought up
to the EC

use zoom + Chat with Soaphub next time!
