I have found this plugin https://betternotificationsforwp.com/ that could be used, but it is not clear. perhaps a non-free add-on (cost £59) is needed, see: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/user-email-changed-for-admin/ however, looking at the documentation, it doesn't seem to really address our need. I will now post a question. If yes, then the issue spotted in two occasions before is now repeating: This user doesn't have the "member" tag, and is unable to access the member's area. NB: from my memory, previous cases where Stefano Borgo and Carmen Chui. Please confirm, and I will add manually the member tag, but we also need to investigate why this tag member is missing. Here is the list of possible triggers about users: User: User registered notification User profile updated notification User logged in notification User failed to log in notification User logged out notification User password reset request notification User password changed notification User deleted notification There are other triggers, relevant for other purposes than managing the membership. For the record, here there are: WordPress: Available updates – sent as often as you set them, ie. every week Post Type: Published post notification Post added to database notification Post drafted (saved as a draft) notification Updated post notification Post send for review (pending post) notification Post moved to trash notification The Notification plugin supports any Custom Post Type out of the box. Good. Let's see if it also reaches Frank. regarding your comments, no you do not need to look at the profile. as I tried to write in the message "(data included in this message is after the change)", the data sent is the resulting data, so the email shown is the potentially the new one, if the member changed it. of course, one doesn't know if indeed the change has been the email. but you can use the manager / phpmyadmin to compare it with the email in the DB, and if different, update it. potentially there might be many irrelevant changes being notified, but let's see what happens. NB: I've just added the tag "member" to Tod Schneider, and see that even admin changes not done by the user generate this notification, so I suggest that any admin doing any such change inform mofficer to avoid unnecessary action. I will now update the notification to remove my own testing email from it. I will also add a notification for deleted user, informing secretary and mofficer. This means we indeed have another task on our plate: identifying the bug "validating doesn't always add the tag member" and fixing it. not an easy thing since this bug doesn't show up systematically :-( in addition, this is code written by Ken, so the first candidate to look into that matter obviously is Ken. *Ken*, could you please tell us if you can take on this task? I suggest that till the bug is not fixed Claudio be set as admin in the website so that he can check the profiles and fix the missing tag. I have updated his profile now.
