In the evolving landscape of AI, the panel on "Applied Ontologies in the
Age of Neuro-Symbolic AI" will discuss the integration of symbolic AI
(based on knowledge representation and formal logic) and statistical
(based on artificial neural networks). The aim is to cover a broader
overview on the topic, definitions, impact on research in both
statistical and symbolic AI (and in other fields), and future perspectives.
