I was just scanning through Chap 4 of the DOL spec (Feb. 8, from
github). I see the following:<br>
<br>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
<div class="page" title="Page 30">
<div class="layoutArea">
<div class="column">
<p><span style="font-size: 10.000000pt; font-family:
'NimbusSanL'; font-weight: 700">"query language </span><span
style="font-size: 9.000000pt">OMS language speciō¸°„cally
dedicated to queries<br>
</span><span style="font-size: 9.000000pt">Example </span><span
style="font-size: 9.000000pt">SPARQL, Prolog<br>
</span><span style="font-size: 9.000000pt">Note </span><span
style="font-size: 9.000000pt">There are also general
purpose OMS languages, which can express both OMS and
queries."</span></p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<br>
If a query language is an OMS language, then a query is an OMS. So
saying that there are OMS languages which can express both OMS and
queries is redundant.

<br>
Is there a need for some term which captures the concept of
non-query OMS?<br>
